Last night I had the pleasure of attending the PostSecret exhibition in Georgetown. Hundreds, thousands of secrets publicly displayed on postcards. Wierd, cool, public, personal. It was all kinds of things. Each postcard was an image, each image a thousand words, each one describing a journey. Through life, to realization, through the postal system, through the pile of mail, to this show.
I highly recommend it for anyone within a couple of hours drive.

“It’s quite an experience to have a pistol pointed in your face,” the former mayor said on Channel 4 this morning.
Did it make you feel high, Marion? You know, there’s just nothing like the rush when you first feel the adrenaline and fear mingle in your veins.
Kidding aside, how did Mr. Barry think it was a good idea to permit unknown people to enter his home “to help him carry in his groceries”? I hate to use these two letters in an insulting, pejorative sense but, Marion, this is DC. It probably wouldn’t be much different in any big city these days, but still you should know as well as anyone to be vigilant and act safely. It isn’t the first time this guy has gotten caught doing something stupid.
It troubles me that just because this victim is a Council Member the search will be relentless until a couple of guys with oversized pants or sideways hats get picked up and sacrificed to the tune of, “hey look at me, I know how dangerous this city is and here’s what I’m doing to make it safer!”
